Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A query entered in a search tool is sent directly to the outside provider operating that tool. The provider processes the input and supplies its result. Marion County Warrant Records does not retain or log those query terms.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email sent to us may be kept as needed to answer it. Messages remain within the organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Data We Gather Automatically
Our servers automatically receive certain technical details when a page loads:
- The IP address assigned to your device
- Which browser you are using and its version
- Your device type and operating system
- The pages you visited and how long you stayed on each
- The site that sent you here, if any
- Timestamps for each page view
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small device files used to understand traffic patterns, including popular pages and exit points. Analytics providers combine visit data for that purpose. Browser controls can block cookies, although doing so may alter how some features work.
What We Do With This Data
- Keeping the site up, running, and loading quickly
- Sending your search requests to the right partner service
- Figuring out which pages people find useful and which need work
- Tracking down and fixing technical issues
- Showing ads that may line up with your interests
No Warrant Data on File
Marion County Warrant Records does not host, keep, compile, or sell a warrant database or personal warrant records. It provides general directions to the Marion County Sheriff and issuing courts. Georgia has no statewide public warrant search. We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor data is not assembled into consumer reports or third-party profiles.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes. Information submitted there is governed by that company’s privacy policy, retention rules, and disclosure practices rather than this policy. Review those terms before entering a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to the Marion County Sheriff, local courts, Georgia agencies, legal resources, or commercial tools. Once you leave this site, the destination’s privacy policy applies. Review it before providing personal information.
Advertising providers may use their own systems to follow activity across websites and select interest-based ads.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal data is not sold. Limited information may be available to:
- Search partners that handle queries you run on our site
- Analytics services we use to track traffic and performance
- Ad networks that place ads on our pages
- Law enforcement or government bodies when a valid legal order requires it
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable security measures are used for information in our control. No internet system is completely secure, so protection against every breach cannot be guaranteed.
Users Under 18
The service is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. Verified information supplied by a minor will be deleted when brought to our attention.
Your Data Rights
Applicable privacy and consumer-protection rules may provide additional rights. The Georgia Open Records Act, O.C.G.A. § 50-18-70 et seq., governs access to public agency records, but it does not convert data held by this private site into government records. At a minimum, you may:
- Ask for a copy of what we have on file about you
- Have us fix information that is wrong
- Request that we erase your data
- Opt out of certain kinds of data processing
Updates to This Policy
This policy may be revised. Any revision will be posted here with a new effective date, and later use will be subject to the updated version.
